15 Aug Charity Sky Dive For Lucy’s Days Out
We are taking part in a Sky Dive on 18th September in aid of the charity Lucy’s Days Out.
Lucy’s Days Out
Lucy was just six when she developed “Rhabdomyosarcoma” a solid inoperable tumor in her head. She had harsh chemotherapy and radiotherapy which seemed to work as Lucy was well for four years but sadly she relapsed in March 2009 and lost the battle this time.
Lucy died on the 23rd September 2010 after years of suffering. Unfortunately years of chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment did not work for Lucy. In Lucy’s last few months her dying wish was to help others by forming a local charity.
This August would have been Lucy’s 18th Birthday. So why not join us in the pub, raise your glass to Lucy and help us raise money to help other children battling with life threatening illnesses today.
The winning team will be awarded with lots of bubbles. Each team player that attends will be automatically entered in to a raffle with prizes such as fine wines and delicious chocolates.
